Six best waka poets (rokkasen - 六歌仙)

Waka is one the classical form of Japanese poetry. The six best Waka poets were selected in 905 (early Heian period).

They are :

- Henjo

- Ariwara no Narihira

- Hun'ya no Yasuhide

- Kisen

- Ono no Komachi

- Ōtomo Kuronushi
