Mount Fuji (fujisan - 富士山)

The Mount Fuji is the highest mountain of Japan (3,776 m.) and the symbol of the country. It is revered by the Japanese who call him Fjui San (Mr Fuji). Located west of Tokyo it can be seen from the Capital on clear days. The region of Hakone is also famous for its views of the Mount Fuji. Mount Fuji beautiful shape and all year round white snow top has inspired many artists for centuries. Hokusai and Hiroshige created many views of the Mount Fuji which are still famous today.
