ni-un-pet (an Ainu word for 'river in the wood') glass art inst. is located in a small town of Hokkaido.

The founder, Mr Sukehiro Kusumoto, was born in 1961 and went to the USA to learn glass making from 1985 to 1991. He opened is institute in 1999.
