About "goshoguruma, ox-drawn carriage" (goshoguruma - 御所車) :

The goshokuruma is an imperial ox-drawn carriage. It was used by the Emperor and Empress, or aristocrats. Goshokuruma is depicted in The Tale of Genji, a a classic work of Japanese literature dating from the eleventh century.

The motif of the goshokuruma is often combined with flowers and streams, and typically appears on kimonos, obis or fans. Sometimes it's only the motif of the wheel which is used.
