About "rice cooker, traditional" (kama - 釜) :

Nowadays, Japanese use electric rice cookers (denkigama). In the past, a metal cooking-pot called 'kama' was used. This pot had flat edges to cover the top of the stove where the fire was burning and had a wooden lid.
