Wasabi (wasabi - ワサビ or わさび(山葵), earlier 和佐比)

Wasabi is known as the Japanese horseradish. It's colour is green and it is generally used as a paste. It adds a kick to sushis and many other dishes. Wasabi grows next to streams, and it is mainly the root which is eaten even if the leaves and flowers are edible.
