Dango (dango - 団子)

Dango is a snack composed of three or four small balls made of rice flower paste picked on a skewer and topped with a sweet sauce or red bean paste. Dango's types vary depending on the season. Dango are quite sticky and filling and are often served with green tea.

In 1999, a song called 'Dango san kyōdai' (The three brothers Dango) reached the top of the Japanese charts. This children song is based on a joke between the word Dango and Tango music.
